About (Zi gong). There is a story about him in the history book.

The nationalities of Confucius and (Zi gong) are (Lu Kingdom).

Kingdom of Lu is quite weak, so many people are taken to other kingdoms.

The king promulgated a law.

If anyone sees the people of these unfortunate kingdoms of Lu in other kingdoms.

This person should assist him so that he can recover his freedom and return to the Kingdom of Lu.

All expenses in the process will be fully subsidized by Lu Kingdom.

(Zi gong) is a very rich businessman. He helped several compatriots living in other kingdoms to return to the Kingdom of Lu.

But he told the king that I chose not to receive this subsidy.

After Confucius heard this, Confucius told (Zigong). Your behavior is wrong.

(Zi gong) was puzzled. Teacher, where did I do this wrong?

Confucius answered him:

When we make any decision, in addition to thinking from our own standpoint, we must also consider how our actions will affect the people around us.

In our kingdom, there are few rich people and many poor people.

You are very rich, so whether or not to receive this subsidy will not have much impact on your life.

But if you are a poor person, this subsidy is very important.

People often see only the surface. When people see that you don't receive the subsidy, and other people choose to receive the subsidy, they will feel that the person receiving the subsidy is more greedy.

Think about it, if you are a poor person, after being misunderstood, are you willing to continue to do this?

Your behavior looks good, but good behavior may also produce bad results.

Dear friend, what kind of inspiration or ideas do you have after listening to this story?

When you make any decision, have you considered how your own actions will affect others? How can you avoid yourself from judging others just by looking at the surface?

I hope this story will give you some new gains.
