蘇秦聽了這些話後內心十分憤怒。
但他內心清楚的知道，
只有自己取得金錢或是權力方面的成功，他才能夠證明自已的選擇是正確的。
於是他就忍受著家人的嘲笑，
他再次認真讀了一年書，
他深入的研究如何把自己的知識運用在現實社會中。
蘇秦第二次離開自己的家鄉。
這一次他成功運用了自已的洞察，與清晰的邏輯去說服了六個王國的國王。
他組織六個王國組成同盟並且一起對抗當時最強大的秦王國。
這六個王國同時聘請他擔任這項偉大計畫的執行者。
蘇秦第二次回到故鄉，
這次他的哥哥、嫂嫂、弟弟、妹妹還有其他的家人看到他的時候，態度跟幾年前完全不一樣。
他們的態度變成恭敬有禮貌。他們甚至連頭都不敢抬起來。
蘇秦看到這情況就問自已的家人，為什麼你們的態度跟之前完全不一樣了。
家人回答說。因為你現在有很有權力，而且很有錢。
蘇秦聽到這回答後，他就對自已說。每個人都是勢利的，我的家人就跟大多數人都相同啊，這是人性。所以我應該原諒他們。
我甚至應該感謝他們，若不是他們當時的嘲笑激勵了我，我怎會有今天的成就呢。
