A full glass of wine(浮一大白)

 A full glass of wine(浮一大白)

During the Warring States Period in China, the king of the Wei Kingdom held a grand banquet.

The banquet was very lively and everyone was very happy.

Halfway through the banquet, the king made a suggestion.

He said

This banquet is really fun.

From now on, let's play a game.

If someone fouls the rules, that person will be punished.

The punishment is to drink a full glass of wine.

The king appointed a minister named (Gong Cheng Bu Ren) to be the referee.

The game begins. More and more people were punished for fouling.

The atmosphere of the banquet became more and more enthusiastic.

Suddenly, in the latest round of the game, the king fouled.

(Gong Cheng Bu Ren) poured a full glass of wine to the king.

The king pretended not to see it.

(Gong Cheng Bu Ren) Said to the king.

You have to accept punishment and finish drinking this glass of wine.

The guard next to the king said at this time.

You are too rude, you can't force the king to drink.

(Gong Cheng Bu Ren) answered.

This rule was laid down by the king, and everyone at the scene agreed and complied with it.

How can the king himself not accept punishment now?

When the king heard these words, he was silent.

One minute later.

He took the full glass of wine and said to everyone.

(Gong Cheng Bu Ren) is right, I should accept punishment.

After the king finished drinking this glass of wine, he said to (Gong Cheng Bu Ren).

I respect you very much. I am very grateful for your reminder.

This idiom means to drink a full glass of wine.

Dear friend, what inspiration or thoughts did you have after hearing this story.

If you are the king with absolute power, can you admit your mistakes in public? If you are (Gong Cheng Bu Ren), do you have the courage to express your thoughts?

I hope this story will give you some new gains.

(A full glass of wine)
