Can you see the performance on stage(矮子看戲)

Can you see the performance on stage(矮子看戲)

During the Southern Song Dynasty in China. There is a famous scholar whose name is Zhu Xi.

In the conversation with the students, he shared his own learning experience.

He said.

After the course was over, a student found that he still had a lot of things he didn't understand.

He then went to the teacher and asked a lot of questions.

After he got the teacher's answer, he went on to confirm one by one whether he knew everything.

And he uses this knowledge in life

This student is not smart.

But in the end he can fully acquire this knowledge.

In addition, the learning style of most students is like a short person watching a stage play.

Many people blocked his sight. He can't see what is being performed on the stage now.

But when everyone laughed, this person also laughed.

One person next to him asked him.

Can you see the performance on stage. Why are you laughing.

He replied.

I can't see it. But everyone laughed, it must be that the content of this stage show is very interesting.

So I laughed.

This idiom is used to remind us that we should build our own independent judgment ability instead of blindly following others to act.

Dear friend, what inspiration or thoughts did you have after hearing this story.

Do you think that what everyone agrees with must be right? Do you follow suit because everyone does the same thing?

I hope this story will give you some new gains.

Can you see the performance on stage)
