A reckless person(暴虎馮河)
In the famous book (The Analects of
Confucius), a story is recorded.
Confucius was in a conversation with one of
his students whose name was (Zilu).
(Zilu) asked.
If you were an army general, what kind of
abilities would you want your soldiers to have.
Do you want each of your soldiers to have
very good physical strength and fighting skills?
Confucius said.
What you said is indeed very important, but
I don’t think these are the most important.
(Zilu) asked.
What ability do you think is more
important?
Confucius said.
Confucius replied.
Suppose there is a person who is very
brave.
He can fight tigers, he can swim across a
big river.
But if this person never reflects on
whether what he has done is correct, I will not let him join my team.
Confucius then replied.
I would hope that my team members, whether
they face any big or small things, can maintain a state of awe and do these
things very carefully.
I hope that my team members will first
think about why this is going to be done and what results are to be achieved.
Then go all out to accomplish the goal.
(Zilu) nodded and said.
Thank you teacher for sharing.
This idiom is used to describe a person who
is brave but reckless.
Dear friend, what inspiration or thoughts
did you have after hearing this story.
Have you thought about the ultimate goal of
your life? Do you do everything in awe.
I hope this story will give you some new
gains

(A reckless person)
