There was a famous politician in the Ming
Dynasty of China, his name was (Liu Ji).
He is known as one of the most capable
prime ministers in Chinese history.
He wrote a story.
There was a fisherman. One day while he was
fishing, he saw a boat hit a reef in the distance and a man fell into the
water.
He hurried to drive the boat to save this
man.
When he approached the man, the man yelled.
Come and save me, I am a rich businessman,
if you save me, I am willing to give you 100 gold coins.
The fisherman rescued the merchant and
drove the boat to the shore.
After the businessman took a breather, he
took out 10 gold coins from his pocket and gave them to the fisherman.
Said the businessman.
Thank you, these are your honorariums.
The fisherman asked.
Didn’t you just say you want to give me 100
gold coins?
Said the businessman.
You are really a greedy person. How much
money you can earn by fishing for a day, are you still not satisfied with the
10 gold coins you got today?
After saying this, the businessman left.
The fisherman did not speak.
Three months later, the businessman took a
boat to the lower reaches of the river to do business again.

three months ago.

快來救我，我是一個有錢的商人，你如果救了我，我願意給你100個金幣。
漁夫把這個商人救起來，然後把船開到岸邊。
這個商人稍作喘息後，他從自已的口袋中拿出10個金幣交給這個漁夫。
這個商人說。
謝謝你，這些是給你的酬金。
漁夫問。
你剛才不是說要給我100個金幣嗎。
這個商人說。
你真的是一個貪心的人。你捕魚一天才可以賺多少錢，你今天得到這10個金幣你還不滿足嗎。
說完這句話這個商人就走了。
漁夫沒有說話。
三個月後，這個商人搭著船再次要到河的下游做生意。
沒想到，這一次船又觸礁，這位商人又落入水中了。
這個漁夫遠遠的看見有人落水，就要過去救這個人。
但是這個漁夫駕著船接近這個人時，漁夫發現他是三個月前那一個沒信用的商人。
這一次漁夫沒有救他。
這句成語被用來提醒我們不要輕易承諾，我們承諾後就要守信用。
