Groping in secret(暗中摸索)
During the Tang Dynasty in China, there was
a famous minister named (Xu Jingzong).
There is a story about him in history
books.
He is very arrogant.
Once, a good friend of his introduced him
to some people at a banquet.
Not long after, when he met these people he
had just met, he had forgotten.
He asked the names of these people again.
These people felt that they were not
respected, so they were very angry.
After the banquet, his good friend told
him.
Your memory is too bad, I introduced you to
my friend at today's banquet, but you even forgot their name before the banquet
was over. This is rude.
He replied.
Your friends are just as ordinary as you,
so I can’t easily remember who they are.
If there is a celebrity at the banquet
today, even if I don’t know this celebrity, I will go in private to find out
who he is and what he looks like, and then I will firmly remember it.
This idiom means groping in secret.
Dear friend, what inspiration or thoughts
did you have after hearing this story.
How do you evaluate him? Do you think it is
more important to know someone or to be someone that others want to know?
I hope this story will give you some new
gains.
(Groping in secret)
