In the Eastern Han Dynasty of China, there
was a very upright minister who was also a famous scholar. His name is (Cui
Yin).
His story is recorded in the history books.
He has a good friend named (Dou Xian).
(Dou Xian)'s sister is the queen, and his
power is very large.
He once wrote several letters to (Dou
Xian).
The content of one of the letters is as
follows.
If a person has money and power, this
person must be very proud.
If a person has money and status and this
person is not proud, I think there are very few such people.
We are very fortunate to live in these
times, our king is upright and knowledgeable.
Our age is a prosperous age.
The king attaches great importance to your
talents, he gives you a high status and a very generous salary.
My good friend, so I want to remind you
that you have to be more cautious now.
There is an old saying.
Don't worry that you have no money and no
status. What you should worry about is that you have money and status but you
don't have a heart of kindness and integrity.
There are also many records in the history
books. Many people became proud after obtaining extremely high power and status,
and these people's life endings were very bad.
We should learn from these historical
figures.
When (Dou Xian) received the letter, he did
not accept his suggestion.
He wrote several letters to (Dou Xian) one
after another.
But (Dou Xian) thinks he is very annoying
so he doesn't like him more and more.
Later (Dou Xian) used his influence and
asked the king to send him to a very remote place.
He was discouraged so he said to the king.
I am not in good health and I want to
retire early.
He left the power core of the central
government and devoted the rest of his life to scholarship and research.
And (Dou Xian) was executed a few years
later because of an incident involving a treason.
This idiom is used to describe an upright
person who is assigned to a very remote unit.

歷史書上記載了一個他的故事。
他有一個名字叫做(竇憲)的好朋友。
(竇憲)的妹妹是皇后，他的權力非常的大。
他曾經寫過幾封信給(竇憲)。
其中一封信的內容大意如下。
一個人如果有錢而且有權力，這個人一定會很驕傲。
一個人如果有錢又有地位而且這個人卻不驕傲，我認為這種人很少。
我們生活在這個時代非常的幸運，我們的國王正直而且有見識。
我們這個時代是一個昌盛的時代。
國王非常的重視你的才能，他讓你很高的地位與很豐厚的薪俸。
我的好朋友，所以我要提醒你，現在的你必須要更加的謹慎。
有一句古話說。
你不要擔心你沒有錢與沒有地位。你應該擔心的是你有錢有地位但是你卻沒有一顆仁慈而且正直的心。
歷史書上也有很多的記載，很多人因為得到極高的權力與地位之後，這個人就開始驕傲，這些人的人生結局都很不好。
我們應該以這些歷史人物為鑑戒啊。
當(竇憲)收到這信後沒有接受他的建議。
他又陸陸續續寫了幾封信給(竇憲)。
但是(竇憲)覺得他很令人厭煩所以愈來愈不喜歡他。
後來(竇憲)運用自己的影響力，讓國王把他派任到一個很偏遠的地方。
他很灰心所以他就對國王說。
我的身體不好，我想要提早退休。
他離開中央政府的權力核心，他的餘生就專心作學問與研究。
而(竇憲)在幾年後，因為涉及一件謀反的事件被處死。
這句成語被用來形容一個正直的人被派任到很偏遠的單位。
