Blossoms in spring and bears fruit in autumn(春華秋實)

In the Eastern Han Dynasty of China, there was a famous minister who was also a famous scholar. His name is (Cui Yin).

His story is recorded in the history books.

He was very intelligent, and he achieved high academic achievement at a very young age.

A few of his friends told him.

Flowering in spring and fruiting in autumn. This is a natural phenomenon.

Our life follows this rule.

Your knowledge is so profound, your wisdom is so profound.

You should be very influential, you should have a high social status.

But you don't.

You're an eccentric person, you don't make friends with some rich and powerful people, and you don't make friends with some famous scholars.

You have very little interaction with the outside world, and you are always alone reading and doing research.

You should socialize more with these rich and powerful people and these famous scholars.

Once you become good friends with these people, these people will help you increase your profile and your weight in academia.

he answered.

The path you're talking about is really good, and it's the path that most people follow.

But this path goes against my nature and principles.

Everyone has the life they want to live,

Some people live in seclusion in the mountains, while others farm and enjoy self-sufficiency.

Some people don't care about physical hunger and they seek spiritual satisfaction.

Others like to pursue power and status.

Others abandon their dignity in pursuit of fame, while others only think about how to increase their popularity and influence every day.

If given the opportunity, I would also like to have a higher reputation and academic status.

But I don't want to flatter others in order to get their recommendation and praise.

I don't want to think about how to let more people know me every day.

I don't want to meet some friends who are good to me for their own benefit, I find it too tiring.

You may not understand me, and you think I'm wasting my talents.

But I can't understand you either, and I think you're just wasting your life in pursuit of these fames.

This idiom is used as a metaphor for one thing, which will produce the corresponding result after working hard.

Dear friends, what inspiration or thoughts do you have after listening to this story?

How do you want to live your life? What do you think will make you truly happy?

I hope this story will give you something new to gain.

(Blossoms in spring and bears fruit in autumn)
