This grass will not be knocked down by
strong winds(疾風勁草)
During the Han Dynasty in China, historians
divide it into the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC-8 AD) and the Eastern Han
Dynasty (25 AD-220 AD).
Between these two dynasties, there was a
short-lived Xin Dynasty (9 AD - 23 AD).
The name of the first king of the Eastern
Han Dynasty was (Liu Xiu).
After the demise of the Xin Dynasty, China
was in a state of division.
The army led by (Liu Xiu) went through many
battles and finally unified the whole of China.
There are many famous generals under (Liu
Xiu), one of whom is named (Wang Ba).
One day, the two of them were chatting.
Liu Xiu said.
A few years ago, you joined my army with a
few of your friends.
But you are the only one who persists till
now.
We have won many wars together over the
past few years, and we have suffered many defeats together.
I am grateful for your persistence in
facing these difficult challenges with me.
There is a saying.
Some grasses will not be knocked down by
strong winds.
I think you're the kind of grass that won't
blow over.
This idiom means that it is only through
difficult trials that one can see whether a person is strong or not.
Dear friends, what inspiration or thoughts
do you have after listening to this story?
Do you have this kind of friends who still
stay by your side through hardships? Do you thank your friends for their
company?
I hope this story will give you something
new to gain.
(This grass will not be knocked down
by strong winds)
