Clear weather and fresh air(天朗氣清)

Spring breeze that makes people feel very comfortable and warm(惠風和暢)

The most famous calligraphy work in running script in Chinese history is a preface written by a famous calligrapher (Wang Xizhi) of the Jin Dynasty.

In the spring of AD 353, at the age of 50, he and 40 other celebrities of the time gathered in a pavilion in what is now Kuaiji Mountain in Zhejiang Province. The name of this pavilion is (Lanting).

Why do they gather here? This is because there was a custom in ancient China.

On this day of the year, everyone goes to the river and everyone washes their bodies in water soaked in herbs.

People at that time believed that by doing so, they could eliminate misfortunes and gain blessings.

After they finished the ceremony, everyone sat by the river, and everyone began to drink and eat.

They ate and drank while playing a popular game at the time.

A total of 41 people participated in this open-air luncheon.

In total they composed 37 poems that afternoon.

A good friend who attended this event suggested.

We should put these poems today into a collection of poems.

Everyone agrees with the idea

Wang Xizhi was a well-known official and calligrapher at that time, and his family was the top aristocratic family at that time.

At that time, there was a folk proverb, which meant that the Jin Dynasty was jointly owned and controlled by the Wang family and the king's family.

Everyone agreed to ask him to write a preface to the book.

He also happily accepted everyone's request.

The fourth paragraph of this preface is as follows.

On this day, the weather is clear and the air is fresh, and the spring wind blowing on the body makes people feel very comfortable and warm.

I looked up at the sky, the universe was so vast and borderless.

I looked down at my surroundings. There were countless and varied species in this world.

I looked at the beautiful scenery in front of me, and my thoughts galloped everywhere with my eyes.

I enjoy all the pleasures my senses bring to my heart.

I feel very happy right now.

The first idiom means that the weather is sunny and the air is fresh.

The second idiom means the spring breeze that makes people feel very comfortable and warm.

Dear friends, what inspiration or thoughts do you have after listening to this story?

Have you ever been moved by your life? Have you ever lamented the insignificance of human beings?

I hope this story will give you something new to gain.

(Clear weather and fresh air)

(Spring breeze that makes people feel very comfortable and warm)
