Everyone has their own strengths(各有所長)
During the Spring and Autumn Period in
China, there was an outstanding statesman in the Qi Kingdom. His name is (Guan
Zhong).
He is known as one of the most capable
prime ministers in Chinese history.
After his death, his students wrote a book
in which his thoughts and philosophy were recorded.
There is a passage in this book as follows.
The most important task of a good leader is
to clearly identify each person's strengths.
A good leader puts a person in a job where
he can use his strengths and doesn't put that person in a position he's not
good at.
A good leader knows that when everyone on a
team can play to their strengths, the programs the team executes will be
successful.
The biggest problem with many leaders is
that they can't clearly distinguish the strengths and weaknesses of each
person. .
Let me give an example, a monkey can climb
a very high tree in a very short time, which a human cannot do, but a man can
think and plan ahead, which a monkey cannot do.
If you command a monkey to think and make a
good plan, if you command a man to climb a tall tree in a short time, then no
matter how hard you try, you will fail.
This idiom means that everyone has their
own strengths.

中國的春秋時代，齊王國有一位傑出的政治家。他的名字是(管仲)。
他被稱為中國歷史上最有能力的宰相之一。
他過世之後，他的學生們寫了一本書，這本書中記錄了他的思想與哲學。
這本書中有一段的內容如下。
一個好的領導者最重要的任務就是清楚分辨出每個人的長處。
一個好的領導者會讓一個人擔任他可以發揮長處的工作，而不會把這個人安排在他不擅長的職位。
一個好的領導者知道，當一個團隊中的每個人都能發揮自已的長處，那麼這個團隊所執行的方案就一定會成功。
很多領導者最大的問題就是他們無法清楚的分辨出每個人的優點與缺點。。
我舉一個例子，一隻猴子可以在很短的時間內爬上很高的樹，這一點是人類無法做到的，但是一個人可以思考並且事先計畫，這是猴子無法做到的。
如果你命令一隻猴子去思考與做出一份妥善的計畫，如果你命令一個人在很短的時間內爬上很高的樹，那就算你再努力你也會失敗。
這句成語的意思是每個人都有各自的長處。
