The most famous calligraphy work in running
script in Chinese history is a preface written by a famous calligrapher (Wang
Xizhi) of the Jin Dynasty.

This year marks the ninth year of the reign

Ox.
It is spring now, and today is the third
day of the third month of the lunar calendar. A group of us gathered at
(Lanting) on the north side of (Kaiji Mountain).
We had an annual ritual where we washed our
bodies with herb-infused water by the river.
