Reminiscing about the past and feeling sentimental about the present.

The most famous calligraphy work in running script in Chinese history is a preface written by a famous calligrapher (Wang Xizhi) of the Jin Dynasty.

This work is (preface to Lanting Poems Collection).

According to records, the greatest king of the Tang Dynasty in China said to his ministers before he died.

I love this work so much that when I die, I command you to put this work in my grave, I want this calligraphy work to stay with me forever.

Before the king died, many famous calligraphers copied this work.

There was a minister named (Ouyang Xun) in the Tang Dynasty. The calligraphy work he copied was considered to be the closest to the original work. The calligraphy work he copied was engraved on a stone tablet.

There was a famous art collector in the Song Dynasty, whose name was (Wang Bo). He recorded the story of this stone tablet in his book.

In 907 AD, the Tang Dynasty in China fell.

After the fall of the Tang Dynasty, this stele was seized by the Khitan Kingdom in the north because of the war.

Around 1045 AD, this stone tablet appeared in the Northern Song Dynasty, and was collected by the royal family of the Northern Song Dynasty a few years later.

Around AD 1145, the stele was lost again due to war.

In AD 1253, one day, (Wang Bo)'s nephew came to him.

The nephew's father is his wife's older brother.

his nephew told him.

My father passed away not long ago, and he instructed me in his suicide note to sell you some of the collections he owned.

(Wang Bo) nodded and said yes.

He was taken aback when his nephew showed his father's collection.

Because he saw this stone tablet.

He is a well-known collector. After careful inspection, he found that the stele was indeed real. He was very moved. He did not expect to see this stele under such circumstances.

He was very excited at the time.

There are many feelings in his heart.

This calligraphy work copied by Ouyang Xun is really wonderful.

Behind this stele, there are many inscriptions of many famous figures of the Northern Song Dynasty more than 100 years ago.

When I looked at this stele, I thought of the history of this stele, and I sighed at the present.

I didn't specifically look for it, but this precious stone tablet suddenly appeared in front of my eyes today.

This stele was owned by many different people at different times, but where are those people now?

I have this opportunity to own this stele today, but who knows what will happen in the future?

This idiom means that a person reminisces about the past and feels sentimental about the present.

Dear friends, what inspiration or thoughts do you have after listening to this story?

Do you own those very precious items? Can you take this item with you after you die?

I hope this story will give you something new to gain.

(Reminiscing about the past and feeling sentimental about the present.)
