He was one of the most famous generals of
the Wu Kingdom during the Spring and Autumn Period in China.
His story is recorded in many history
books.
He was very loyal to the king of the Wu
Kingdom. He saw that the king of the Yue Kingdom pretended to be obedient to
the Wu Kingdom, but he was secretly actively training the army and stockpiling
the food needed to attack the Wu Kingdom.
He was very anxious, he saw the crisis of
the Wu Kingdom, but he had no ability to change, he could only constantly
advise the king.
His positive advice had the opposite
effect, and the officials who took bribes from the Yue Kingdom kept slandering
him and disliking him more and more.
The officials who took bribes from the Viet
Kingdom even framed her for saying he was treason.
The king believed the lies of these people.
The king sent messengers to convey his
orders to him.
You have committed treason and you must be
arrested and executed in public.
But you once assisted my father, and you
were a general beloved by all in the Wu Kingdom.
You kill yourself, and I will bury you
after you kill yourself.
He was angry when he heard the order from
the messenger.
He told his friends.
I helped the king's father achieve great
things, and I also helped the king succeed in his succession to the throne.
And the king listened to the lies of those
treacherous people and tried to force me to commit suicide.
After my death, I have two wishes for you
to fulfill for me.
The first is that after I die, you plant a
catalpa by my grave. Because in a few years, I think in our kingdom, many
people will die because of the war, and then you can cut down this tree to make
those sacrificial utensils.
The second is to ask you to dig out my
eyeballs and put them on the city tower to the east of the capital of the Wu
Kingdom after my death. I want to see with my own eyes how the troops of the
Yue Kingdom captured our capital.
After he committed suicide, the king was
angry when he heard his last words, the king thought he was cursing the kingdom
of Wu.
So the king did not bury him.
The king ordered the soldiers to put his
body in a leather bag and throw it into the Qiantang River.
Nine years later, his prediction came true.
The Wu Kingdom was destroyed by the Yue Kingdom.
Before the king of Wu Kingdom committed
suicide, he covered his face with three layers of cloth and tied it up.
He says.
I am so ashamed, and I regret not listening
to Wu Zixu's advice before. After I was dead, my soul dared not see his soul.
After saying this last sentence, he
committed suicide.

他是中國春秋時代吳王國最著名的將軍之一。
許多歷史書上都記載了他的故事。
他對吳王國的國王非常忠心，他看出越王國的國王假裝順服吳王國，但其實暗地裡積極的訓練軍隊與儲備作戰與需要的糧食要攻打吳王國。
他非常的焦急，他看見吳王國的危機，但他沒有能力去改變，他只能不斷地勸告國王。
他的積極勸告造成了反效果，那些收受越王國的賄絡的官員藉此不停的詆毀他，愈來愈不喜歡他。
那些收受越王國的賄絡的官員甚至誣陷她說他要叛國。
國王相信這些人的謊言。
國王就派遣使者對他傳達自已的命令。
你犯了叛國罪，你必須被逮捕並且當眾處決。
但你曾經協助我的父親，你是一個吳王國中所有人都很愛戴的將軍。
你自殺吧，你自殺後我會安葬你。
他聽到這使者所傳達的命令，他很生氣。
他對他的朋友們說。
我協助國王的父親成就偉大的事業，我還幫助國王順利繼承王位。
而國王竟然聽信那些奸詐的人的謊言，要強迫我自殺。
在我死後，我有兩個願望希望你們為我完成。
第一就是在我死了之後，你們在我的墳墓旁種上一株梓樹。因為幾年後我想我們王國之中，會因為戰爭死去很多人，屆時你們就可以砍下這棵樹來製作那些祭祀用的器具。
第二就是請你們在我死後挖出我的眼珠放在吳王國首都的東邊的城樓上，我想親眼見到那些越王國的軍隊如何攻下我們的首都。
在他自殺後，國王聽到他的遺言，國王很生氣，國王認為他在詛咒吳王國。
所以國王沒有埋葬他。
國王命令士兵們把他的身體放在一個牛皮的袋子中，丟入錢塘江中。
9年後，他的預言成真。吳王國被越王國所消滅。
吳王國的國王在自殺前，他用三層布遮住自已的臉並綁起來。
他說。
我太慚愧了，我很後悔以前沒有聽伍子胥的勸告。我死了之後，我的靈魂不敢見到他的靈魂。
說完這最後一句話，他才自殺。
