In the Han Dynasty of China, there was a
humorous, funny and upright official named (Dongfang Shuo).
He lived from 154 BC to 93 BC.
He was about the same age as the seventh
king of the Han Dynasty (Liu Che), and many stories about the two of them are
recorded in history books.
The king had an aunt. When his aunt was in
her 50s, she fell in love with a lover who was 30 years younger than him.
After being introduced by his aunt, the
king also met the lover.
This person's name is (Dong Yan).
(Dong Yan) and the king often go to play
horse racing, dog racing and cockfighting together.
They went hunting together, they went to
banquets together, they ate and drank together.
One day, Dongfang Shuo had a conversation
with the king.
Dongfang Shuo said to the king.
(Dong Yan) is a bad friend, you should not
associate with him anymore.
Said the king.
Why do you say he is a bad friend?
Dongfang Shuo said.
He doesn't like studying, he is trying to
please your aunt and you every day, he is a person with very low moral level.
He's your aunt's lover, and he's not
ashamed of it, he's flamboyant.
He seriously hurt the dignity of the royal
family.
You once said to me that you will follow
the example of those great kings of old, and you hope to become a worthy and
successful king.
You should grasp your present youth, you
should step up your studies, and you should put more effort into governing the
Han Dynasty.
But since you met him, you have become more
and more extravagant, and you have become more and more fond of those gorgeous
things.
You spend a lot of time playing every day,
you pursue sensual pleasures, you have embarked on a path of evil and indulgence.

他是你的姑姑的情夫，而且他不以這個身分為恥，他很張揚。
他嚴重的傷害了王室的尊嚴。
你曾經對我說過，你將效法古代的那些偉大的國王，你希望可以成為一個賢能而且有所成就的君王。
你應該把握你現在的年輕時光，你應該加緊學習，你應該把更多的心力放在治理漢王朝。
但是自從你認識他之後，你變得愈來愈奢侈，你愈來愈喜歡那些華麗的事物。
你每天花很多時間在玩，你追求感官的享樂，你走上了一條邪惡與放縱的道路。
所以我認為你應該遠離這個朋友。

從那一天開始，國王一天一天地與(董偃)疏遠。
