This person is eloquent and knowledgeable(辯知閎達)

In the Han Dynasty of China, there was a humorous, funny and upright official named (Dongfang Shuo).

He lived from 154 BC to 93 BC.

He was about the same age as the seventh king of the Han Dynasty (Liu Che), and many stories about the two of them are recorded in history books.

The Han Dynasty became very powerful under the leadership of (Liu Che).

One day, (Liu Che) had a conversation with him.

(Liu Che) said.

Do you think my achievements can be compared to those kings in Chinese history?

he answered.

I think your achievements have surpassed most of the kings in Chinese history, and you can be listed as one of the greatest kings in Chinese history.

You have found and appointed a lot of talents to become officials of the central government, and the quality of all officials in our kingdom˙is also the highest in Chinese history.

(Liu Che) laughed happily, (Liu Che) accepted his flattery and did not refute him.

After a minute, Liu Che said to him with a smile.

Many officials in the Han Dynasty were indeed excellent, each with their own strengths and they were all very competent.

Every official in our kingdom is eloquent and knowledgeable.

Everyone has rich thoughts and profound connotations.

Compared with these excellent officials, you seem to be much worse.

He didn't get angry or feel inferior after hearing this sentence, he answered with a confident smile.

Indeed, each of these outstanding officials has their own strengths.

One official has crooked teeth, and another has big cheeks.

One officer has thick lips, another has a long neck.

One officer has short feet, another has a big butt.

One official walks like a duck, another is a little hunchbacked.

If you compare it from a single aspect, I really can't beat them.

But if you compare it from the overall aspect, I have different strengths of each of them at the same time, and no one of them can beat me in this regard.

He cleverly used self-deprecation to show his unique advantages.

This idiom means that the person is eloquent and knowledgeable

Dear friend, what kind of inspiration or thought do you have after hearing this story?

Do you think he is a humorous person? Do you get angry when you hear someone mocking you or do you respond in a humorous way?

I hope this story can give you some new harvest.

(This person is eloquent and knowledgeable)
