Dying with your eyes open(死不瞑目)
At the end of the Han Dynasty in China,
there was a famous general in China, his name was (Sun Jian).
History books tell a story about him.
He led an army to the capital to attack a
warlord who had murdered the king.
In 191 AD, after several consecutive
victories, his army was very close to the capital of the Han Dynasty.
His superior officer listened to the
slander and stopped sending reinforcements.
But after he had a sincere talk with his
superiors, they regained their confidence in him.
He led the army forward again.
A few days later, the warlord who had
killed the king sent a messenger to him.
The messenger told him
The members of the royal family of the Han
Dynasty have lost their original power.
We're rooting for another royal whom we
love to be the new king.
We will ask the new king to elevate you to
a higher position.
We will allow the person you recommend to
enter the central government system.
We want to have a peaceful and cooperative
relationship with you.
He was very angry and said to the envoy
You have killed the king of the Han
Dynasty.
I will not keep peace with you, nor will I
cooperate with you.
I will defeat you and kill you all.
We want people all over the country to know
that evil cannot defeat good.
If I can't do this before I die, I think at
the moment of death I won't be able to close my eyes because of the regret in
my heart.
This idiom is used to describe a person who
dies with great regret. Because that person is very regretful, even though he
is dead, he cannot close his eyes.

你勸告你加入我們的陣營，我們會請新的國王讓你擔任更高級的職務。
我們會讓你所推薦的人進入中央政府的體系內。
我們希望跟你保持和平與合作的關係。
他很生氣的對這個使者說。
你們殺了漢王朝的國王。
我不會與你們保持和平，也不會跟你們合作。
我們選擇繼續征戰，我要打敗你們，並且殺了你們全部的人。
我們要讓全國了人們都知道，邪惡無法戰勝正義的一方。
如果我死前沒有辦法完成這件事，那麼我想在死亡的當下，我將因為心中懊悔導致我的眼睛都無法閉上。
這句成語被用來形容一個人死的時候非常遺憾。這個人因為非常遺憾所以這個人雖然死了但是眼睛無法閉上。
