他是秦王朝的時代一個官員， 歷史書上記載了一個他的故事。
中國的秦王朝末年，中國的各個王國中興起了很多革命軍，這些革命軍的目標都是相同的，這些革命軍的目標都是要推翻秦王朝的統治。
西元前208年，楚王國的革命軍經過九次激烈的對戰後打敗了秦王國的軍隊。
這一場慘烈的戰役結束後，秦王朝的軍隊與楚王國的革命軍形成僵持的情況。
帶領這支秦王國的軍隊的將軍的名字叫做(章邯)。
(章邯)是他的好朋友，他擔任(章邯)的參謀長。

(章邯)對他說。
因為我們打了敗仗所以國王很不開心。
我們目前雖然被打敗了，但是我們的士兵數量與糧食等資源都遠遠勝過那些革命軍，因此我們只要把戰爭的時間拉長，我們最終一定可以獲勝。
我不能離開這裡，我必須時刻防備這些革命軍再度發動對我們的攻擊。
因此我派你現在就回去首都然後直接向國王報告目前的戰況。
大概兩個禮拜後，他回到了軍營。
他與(章邯)進行了一場祕密的會議。
他對(章邯)說。
我這次回到首都之後，我一直沒有辦法見到國王。
首都內的情況最近發生了劇烈的變化。
國王非常信任現任的宰相，國王聽從宰相的所有建議，宰相掌握了極大的權力。
他很驚恐的說。
宰相想要讓他所支持的人取代我們，他想要掌控秦王朝的軍隊。
首相還派人暗殺我，還好被我躲過了。
我認為現在的情勢對我們非常的不利。
我們如果戰勝了這些革命軍，那麼我們的成功將會引發宰相的焦慮，他一定會想辦法在國王的面前抹黑我們。
我們如果在接下來的的戰役中失敗，那麼宰相一定會藉這個機會在國王的面前說我們的壞話。
不論那一種情況，我們都可能會因為國王聽信宰相的話而被處死。
章邯問他。
那你認為我們該做出何種選擇呢?
他回答。
打贏我們的楚王國的將軍的名字叫做項羽。他的叔叔年輕的時候曾經因為觸犯法律所以被關入監獄，後來因為我查明事實了真相所以他的叔叔才獲得釋放。
我認為，我們應該與楚王國的革命軍和談。
我認為以我們現在的情況，我們應該也要加入反抗軍的陣營，一起推翻秦王朝的統治。
這是我們兩個人唯一活命的機會。
章邯聽完他的話後他說。
