In the last years of the Qin Dynasty, many
revolutionary armies rose up all over China to oppose the Qin Dynasty.
Among these revolutionary armies, the one
with the most powerful military force was Xiang Yu.
The name of Xiang Yu's most important
military staff officer is Fan Zeng, and a story about him is recorded in
history books.
In a military meeting, Fan Zeng said to
Xiang Yu
Liu Bang led a revolutionary army to invade
and occupy the capital of the Qin Dynasty.
According to my observation, Liu Bang has
revealed his ambition to establish a regime that will unify the whole of China.
I think Liu Bang will be the biggest
obstacle to our unification of China, so we must find a way to kill him.
Fan Zeng said to Xiang Yu. We will hold a
banquet tomorrow and invite Liu Bang to attend.
If Liu Bang attends the banquet tomorrow,
we will kill him.
Xiang Yu agreed with his idea and carried
it out according to his arrangements.
Xiang Yu's uncle is called Xiang Bo.
Xiang Bo thought Liu Bang was a good man,
so Xiang Bo went to see Xiang Yu the night before the banquet.
Xiang Bo said good things about Liu Bang in
front of Xiang Yu.
When Xiang Yu heard what his uncle had
said, he changed his mind.
He decided not to kill Liu Bang.
Xiang Yu made this decision without
consulting Fan Zeng, so Fan Zeng didn't know that Xiang Yu had changed his
mind.
The next day, during Xiang Yu's banquet, he
missed the opportunity to kill Liu Bang.
Liu Bang fled back to his own military
camp.
Fan Zeng was very angry. He was very
disappointed with Xiang Yu's behaviour. He pointed at Xiang Yu, sighed and said
You are so ignorant, and I shouldn't work
with you.
In my opinion, although Liu Bang's current
army only has 100,000 men, he is the only one among all the current
revolutionary army leaders in China who has a chance of defeating you in the
future.
If you don't kill Liu Bang today, we will
all be Liu Bang's prisoners in the future.
This idiom means that you are too ignorant
and I should not cooperate with you.

項羽最重要的軍事參謀的名字是范增，歷史書上記載了一個他的故事。
在一場軍事會議中，范增對項羽說。
劉邦領導一隻革命軍隊攻入並且佔領秦王朝的首都。
根據我的觀察，劉邦已經流露出想要建立一個統一整個中國的政權的野心。
我認為劉邦會成為我們統一中國的最大阻礙，因此我們必須找機會殺了他。
范增便對項羽說。我們明天舉辦一場宴會，我們邀請劉邦來參加這場宴會。
劉邦明天參加這場宴會時，我們就動手殺了他。

項羽的叔叔的名字叫做項伯。

他決定不殺劉邦了。
項羽這個決定他沒有跟范增商量，所以范增不知道他改變了心意。
第二天，項羽這一場宴會中，他錯過了殺掉劉邦的機會。
劉邦逃回他自己的軍營。
范增感覺極度的生氣，他因為項羽的行為感到極度的失望，他指著項羽嘆了一口氣然後說。
你太無知了我不應該跟你一起工作。
根據我的判斷，劉邦目前的軍隊雖然只有10萬人，但他是目前中國所有的革命軍領袖中，唯一一個有機會在未來打敗你的人。
今天你沒有殺了劉邦，我們以後就都要成為劉邦的俘虜了。
這句成語的意思是你太無知了我不應該跟你一起工作。
