He was a famous general in the Liu Song

There is a story about him recorded in
history books.
His father and mother died when he was very
young and his two brothers took him to live with them.
When he grew up, he joined the army of the
Eastern Jin Dynasty with his two brothers.
After joining the army, he showed his
extraordinary military talent. He led the army to win many battles, and his
military rank continued to rise.
In 416 AD, he followed the most powerful
general of the Eastern Jin Dynasty to participate in the campaign against the
later Qin Dynasty. He took the lead in capturing a large city of great
strategic value to the Later Qin Dynasty and captured more than 4,000 people.
He released more than 4,000 people
unconditionally. These people did not expect to escape the threat of death, so
many later joined his army.
One of his military advisers asked him. Why
don't you kill these people?
he replied.
The objects we want to eliminate are the
evil ruling classes of the post-Qin dynasty.
These civilians are innocent, and we should
treat them with mercy.
His behaviour was different from other
military generals of the time, so he won the respect and love of many people.
In 420 AD, the most powerful general of the
Eastern Jin Dynasty, whom he followed, founded the Liu Song Kingdom, and he
became the most important military leader in the Liu Song Kingdom.
In the army of the Liu Song Kingdom at that
time, there were many military generals who were very good at fighting and who
were led by him. Therefore, he controlled the greatest military power of the
Liu Song Kingdom.
His wife once said to him.
According to Taoism, you have great merits
that surpass all others. This is a bad state. Others will be jealous of you,
and you may suffer misfortune.
You'd better leave this position, apply for
retirement and go back to your hometown.
He smiled and did not take his wife's
advice.
In 436 AD, his wife's fears came true and
the third king of the Liu Song Kingdom ordered his arrest. He was accused of
treason and sentenced to death.
Dear friend, what inspirations or thoughts
do you have after listening to this story?
If you were him, would you regret not
listening to your wife when you die? When you encounter a good thing, do you
think of the disaster that might follow?
I hope this story can give you some new
