There is a story about him recorded in the history books.

His father was an important nobleman in the Jin Kingdom, and his father was a minister who wielded great power.

His mother is a foreigner, and because of his blood relationship, he is often discriminated against and bullied by his brother.

His father valued the brothers' education and often spoke words of encouragement to them.

Once, his father called him and his brother to him.

His father took out two bamboo boards and gave them to the two brothers. There were many words written on these two bamboo boards.

His father said to the two brothers.

On these bamboo boards are written some of the most important maxims that have influenced my life. I am now handing these maxims over to you.

I want you to cherish them for the rest of your lives.

They said to his father.

We will always keep these important maxims in our hearts.

One day, three years after that incident, his father suddenly remembered it.

His father called him and his brother.

His father spoke to his brother first.

A few years ago I gave you a bamboo board. On that bamboo board were written some of the most important maxims in my life. Can you recite to me the maxims written on that bamboo board?

His brother replied embarrassed.

I lost the bamboo board you gave me a long time ago, and I have completely forgotten what was written on it.

His father was very angry when he heard his brother's answer.

His father asked him next.

What about you? Do you still have the bamboo board I gave you? Can you recite the life maxims written on the bamboo board?

He nodded and immediately recited all the life maxims written on the bamboo board.

Then he took the bamboo board out of his pocket and said to his father

For the past few years I have been looking at this bamboo board every day. These words are engraved in my heart and I will never forget them.

His father was very happy to hear his answer.

Dear friend, what inspiration or thoughts do you have after listening to this story?

Did your father ever give you these maxims? Did something happen between you and your father that made a deep impression on you?

I hope this story can give you some new insights.
