Hao Long got up from his seat. 30 seconds
later he was punished for not writing a poem.

(桓溫)讓(郝龍)擔任一個中級官員。
他的職位是負責當時晉王朝對於王朝南部邊界的一些小王國的聯絡工作，所以他非常的失望。
郝隆就職幾個月後，有一天。(桓温)宴請了所有中央政府的官員參加一場午宴。
宴會舉行到一半，(桓溫)對所有參加宴會的官員說。
今天真的太開心了，我們現在來玩一個遊戲。
我現在開始隨機點名，被我點到名的人要在三十秒鐘之內寫出一首詩，這首詩的主題是今天的宴會帶給你的感受。
如果有人在三十秒內寫不出來，那麼這個人就要被懲罰。這個人要喝三大碗的中國米酒。
這個遊戲開始後，(桓温)點明了了十幾個人，這些人中那些可以立刻寫出一首詩的人獲得所有與會者的掌聲。那些沒有辦法立刻寫出一首詩的人被處罰喝三大碗中國米酒。
宴會現場的氣氛非常的開心。
(桓溫)突然看向(郝隆)，並且對郝隆說。
我們接下來請郝隆來寫詩並且朗誦給大家聽。
郝隆從座位上站起來，30秒後，他因為沒有寫出一首詩所以被懲罰。
他喝完三大碗中國米酒後，他對所有人說。
我在喝酒的時候突然有靈感，我現在就念一首詩給大家聽。
在場的與會者大聲叫好。
郝隆就念了一首詩，唸完這一首詩後，所有人都很疑惑的看著郝隆，因為他們無法理解郝隆所念的這一首詩。
(桓溫)問(郝隆)。
你剛才念的詩中，有好幾個字的發音很奇怪，我們大家都聽不懂，你可以解釋一下嗎?
(郝隆)回答(桓溫)。
這幾個你們聽不懂的字是晉王朝南方的那些小王國的土話。我把這些小王國的土話用在我的詩裡。
(桓溫)問(郝隆)。
你把這些土話用在你的詩裡的意思為何呢?你想表達你的什麼感受呢?
(郝隆)笑著回答(桓溫)。
我想表現出我從我離開我的家鄉來到首都，我想要在一個重要的職位上盡情的發揮我的才能。
但是你卻只讓我擔任一個負責與晉王朝南部邊界的一些小王國的聯絡工作。所以我藉這個方式提醒你是否可以考慮調動我的職位。
(桓溫)聽完郝隆的回答後也笑了。
