The army he led was so powerful that no other army could compete with it.(所向無敵)

There was a famous minister in the Eastern Jin Dynasty of China, his name was Su Jun.

There is a story about him recorded in the history books.

He had an elite army of more than ten thousand of his own, and he took his army to submit to the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

After becoming a general in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, he secretly used the money given to him by the central government to train soldiers and recruit many vicious and brutal criminals. His military power grew stronger and stronger.

Dissatisfied with the administrative control of the central government being held by another minister he disliked, he led his army to attack the capital of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

Due to the strong military power he controlled, the government forces in the capital were unable to resist his attack. After a few weeks, he successfully captured the capital.

Many generals loyal to the Eastern Jin Dynasty who were stationed in various places immediately led their troops back to the capital upon hearing the news.

These generals wanted to defeat Su Jun and rescue the king of the Eastern Jin Dynasty who was controlled by Su Jun, but their armies were defeated by the army led by (Su Jun).

These generals, who were very loyal to the Eastern Jin Dynasty, formed a joint army after each was defeated. When these generals met, one general said

Su Jun is a very treacherous and cunning man. The army he leads is very powerful. All of our armies are no match for his army.

It seems likely that we will not win the final victory.

There was an air of pessimism among these loyal generals.

But unexpectedly, Su Jun failed soon after.

Su Jun failed because of his pride and arrogance.

Su Jun led his army into battle against the coalition forces. The army led by Su Jun won a great victory.

Su Jun was very happy. He and some of his subordinates chased the enemy on horseback. He and several of his subordinates went deep into the enemy's camp.

When he found himself surrounded by the enemy, he turned around in panic and tried to escape back to his camp, but he failed. He was hit by the enemy's spear, fell from his horse and was killed on the spot. .

This military coup was quickly put down after Su Jun was killed.

This idiom means that the army he leads is so powerful that no other army can compete with his army.

This idiom can be extended to apply to a person who is very good at a certain skill, and no one can compare with that person.

Dear friend, what inspirations or thoughts do you have after listening to this story?

When you were successful, did you become arrogant? Have you ever done something you regretted because of your pride?

I hope this story can give you some new insights.

(The army he led was so powerful that no other army could compete with it.)
