In the Eastern Jin Dynasty of China, there
was a famous general whose name was Shan Jian.
There is a story about him recorded in the
history books.
He served as the top military general in
the area around what is now China's Hubei Province.
He has many friends, and he and his friends
like to drink Chinese rice wine.
He had a friend who had a big pond at his
house, and he loved to drink and eat by the pond with his friends.
Whenever he and his friends had a party,
they would drink all day and all night.
He was drunk almost every time, and when he
was drunk he would fall asleep, and he would sleep until he lost consciousness.
After he'd slept for a couple of hours,
he'd get up, and he'd still walk a bit wobbly, but he'd tell his friends.
I'm going back and we'll meet another time.
He got on his big horse and deliberately
put his beautiful hat, decorated with white feathers, backwards. He rode slowly
back to the barracks.
On his way back to the barracks, he would
say this to an officer who was following him and who had to protect him.
I feel like I'm in really good health, and
I can go from being drunk to being conscious in such a short time.
Although I was not born in northern China,
I think my physical fitness is not inferior to that of people from northern
China.
This idiom is used to describe a person who
appears unrestrained when drunk.

他擔任現在中國的湖北省周圍地區的最高軍事將領。
他有很多朋友，他與他的朋友很喜歡喝中國米酒，。
他有一個朋友的家裡有一個很大的池塘，他最喜歡與他的朋友們一起在這個池塘旁喝酒吃飯。
他與他的朋友們每次舉辦宴會都會從白天喝到傍晚。
他幾乎每次都喝醉，當他喝醉後他就會睡著，他會睡到失去意識。
他睡了幾個小時後，他就會起身，他走路仍然有點搖晃，但他會對朋友們說。
我要回去了，我們改天再聚會。
他騎上他那一匹高大的馬，他會故意向後戴他那一頂用白色羽毛裝飾的漂亮帽子。他慢慢騎著馬回到軍營。
在回軍營的路上，他會對跟隨在他身邊的一個專職保護他的軍官說。
我覺得我的身體真的很健康，我在那麼短的時間內就可以從酒醉的狀態恢復到意識清醒。
我雖然不是出生在中國的北方，但是我認為我的身體素質與你們中國北方的人比起還毫不遜色呢。
