while Shi Chong's cattle were small and thin.

That evening, when Wang Kai and Shi Chong
went home, even though Shi Chong's oxen were smaller and thinner than Wang
Kai's oxen, Shi Chong's oxen could pull the cart faster than Wang Kai's oxen.
Wang Kai sat on the ox cart. He looked at
Shi Chong's cart, which was far ahead of his own.
In his heart, Wang Kai felt very useless.

王愷的牛長的又高又壯，石崇的牛長的又小又瘦。
王愷心中很開心，他認為這次自己的牛為自己掙了面子。
當天傍晚，王愷與石崇要回家時，石崇的牛雖然比王愷的牛瘦小，但是石崇的牛拉車的速度竟然大過王愷的牛。
王愷坐在牛車上，他看著石崇的牛車遙遙領先於自己的牛車。
王愷的心中覺得很窩囊。
他低聲對自己說。
石崇比我有錢，他的廚師也比我家的廚師厲害，連他的牛都勝過我家的牛，我真的不知道他有甚麼秘密，才可以每一點都勝過我啊。
