Pan Yue (潘岳)(247 AD - 300 AD)

Pan Yue didn't like Sun Xiu. Pan Yue

a royal member named (Sima Lun) in the Western Jin Dynasty.
Sima Lun valued Sun Xiu's opinions, and Sun
Xiu became an important advisor to Sima Lun.
In 300 AD, Sima Lun staged a military coup.
Sima Lun took control of the central government of the Western Jin Dynasty, and
Sima Lun became the real leader of the Western Jin Dynasty. Sima Lun made Sun
Xiu the Prime Minister of the Western Jin Dynasty.
Sun Xiu resented Pan Yue very much, so she
often made trouble for Pan Yue in official matters.
After several times of deliberately making
things difficult, Pan Yue said to Sun Xiu one day
Why do you keep targeting me and making
trouble for me? Are you angry because I despised you when I was young?
Sun Xiu said to him without expression.
You're right.
You despised me when you were young, so I
hated you very much. From my youth to now, I have never forgotten the insult
you once gave me.
A few weeks later, Sun Xiu seized the
opportunity and said to Sima Lun
We have gained effective control over the
central government of the Western Jin Dynasty, but I have observed that some
people are unwilling to obey us. I think these people will want to stage
another coup to overthrow us, so we'd better kill these people first.
Sima Lun agreed with Sun Xiu.
That year Pan Yue was arrested and
executed. He was only 53 years old.

西元300年，司馬倫發動了一場軍事政變，司馬倫掌握了西晉王朝的中央政府，司馬倫成為西晉王朝的實際掌權者。司馬倫讓孫秀擔任西晉王朝的首相。
孫秀因為心中很怨恨潘岳，所以常常在公務上找潘岳的麻煩。
經過好幾次的故意刁難之後，有一天，潘岳對孫琇說。
你為何要一直針對我並且找我麻煩呢，難道你是因為我年輕時藐視你，所以你覺得生氣嗎?
孫秀沒有表情地對他說。
你說的沒錯。
你年輕時藐視我，所以我很恨你，從年輕到現在，我沒有一天忘記你曾經對我的污辱。
幾個禮拜後，孫秀利用一個機會對司馬倫說。
我們已經取得了西晉王朝的中央政府的實際控制權，但是根據我的觀察，有幾個人不願意服從我們，我認為這些人會想要發動另外一場政變來推翻我們，因此我們最好先把這些人殺了。
司馬倫表示認同孫秀的想法。
這一年，潘岳被逮捕並且被執行死刑，他只活了53歲。
