There was a famous minister in the Eastern
Han Dynasty of China, his name was (Di Wu Lun). There is a story about him
recorded in the history books.
He was a very upright and honest man, and
he was very loyal to the Eastern Han Dynasty.
The king of the Eastern Han Dynasty thought
very highly of him and asked him to head a department that was responsible for
the construction of the dynasty.
There are many officials in the department
that (Di Wu Lun) is in charge of. Some mid-level officials in that department
will privately send gifts to (Di Wu Lun). These mid-level officials want to be
promoted by this behaviour.
(Di Wu Lun) refuses to accept these gifts,
and he will keep these people who gave him gifts in his mind because he thinks
they are not upright people, so he will give these people a bad evaluation.
One day while he was talking to his friend,
his friend asked him.
You really are a very just person, and I
think you have no selfish motives at all.
He smiled at his friend.
How can I not have selfish motives?
Everyone has selfish motives.

I have a very good relationship with my
brother and his family. I care for my brother's children as much as I care for

same selfless attitude.
