Zhao Kuangyin (趙匡胤)(927 AD - 976 AD)

the name (Kuangyin), and he changed his name after he became king. He was born
in Henan Province, China.

He was the founding king of the Song

她的女兒對他說。我們出門的馬車可以用黃金來裝飾嗎?我們是皇家，我們很有錢，用黃金裝飾我們的馬車可以顯示出我們尊貴的身分。
他笑著對他的女兒說。
我是宋王朝的國王，所以妳可能認為所有這個王國中的人民與財產都屬於我的。
但是我認為這個王國中所有的人民與財產並不屬於我，我只是這些人民與財產的管理者，因此我認為宋王朝中所有的人民與財產我都沒有隨便運用的權力。
趙匡胤會如此節儉另外還有一個很重要的原因。
當時中國的北方有一大塊領土被契丹王國所奪取，他知道，如果要把這塊領土拿回來，宋王朝就必須要有雄厚的經濟實力與強大的軍事力量。
因為趙匡胤的心中有著一個如此遠大的理想要實現，所以他以身作則，他力行簡約的生活。
