322 BC)

the name (Yi), and when he grew up his friends called him (Boren). He was born
in Henan Province, China.

Dynasty.
He loved to drink, and there are two
stories about him recorded in history books.
One day he was drinking Chinese rice wine
with his younger brother.
He and his brother were both a little
drunk, and his brother suddenly said to him
I am very unhappy and unconvinced. I think
I am smarter than you and have better working ability than you, but why am I
living a worse life than you and why am I unable to have such a high position
and prestige as you?
After saying these words, his brother
angrily picked up the candlestick on the table and threw it at him.
He spoke calmly and gently after dodging
the candlestick his brother threw at him.
You can't compare with me.
You are too anxious and want to defeat your
enemy, but the way you do it is so sloppy that it won't help you achieve your
goal.
Another time the king was drinking and
eating with him and other ministers.
The king and all the ministers were a
little drunk, and suddenly the king said to all the ministers.
I feel so happy today. I feel that my
achievements can be compared with the greatest kings of ancient China. Do you
agree with my feelings?
Most of the ministers agreed with the king,
but he said
I think you are so ridiculous. Your
achievements are far inferior to the greatest king in ancient China. The
greatest king in ancient China ruled the people of the kingdom with justice and
benevolence. The people of China were very safe and happy then.
Our current kingdom is still full of
problems that need to be solved.
I think you are too proud and arrogant.
When the king heard what he said, he was
very unhappy. The king became more and more angry, so he ordered him to be
arrested.
A few days later, after much reflection,
the king admitted that he was indeed too arrogant.
The king ordered Zhou Yi to be released.
His friends told him after he was released.
The king almost ordered you to be killed.
You must not speak so casually again.
He told his friends with a smile.
The mistake I made is not a mortal sin, and
I think our king is capable of introspection. When our king sobers up, he will
realise that what I have said is the truth.
I thought from the beginning that I would
be released.

他的弟弟說完這些話後，他的弟弟就生氣地把桌上的燭台拿起來丟向他。
他閃開他的弟弟丟向他的燭台後，他很冷靜而且態度和緩地說。
這就是你比不上我的地方。
你太焦躁了，你想打敗你的敵人，但你採取的方式是如此的低劣，你的做法無法幫助你達到你的目標。
還有一次，國王與他和其他的大臣一起喝酒吃飯。
國王與所有大臣都喝得都有點醉了，國王突然對所有大臣說。
我今天感覺太開心了，我覺得我的成就可以與中國古代最偉大的國王相提並論，你們是否認同我的感受呢?
大多數的大臣都表示贊同國王的意見，但是他卻說。
我覺得你太可笑了，你的成就遠遠比不上中國最古代最偉大的國王，中國古代最偉大的國王用正義與仁愛治理王國中的百姓，當時的中國的人民非常安全與快樂。
我們現在的王國中，還充滿了很多問題需要解決。
我認為你太驕傲與自大了。
國王聽到他的話後，國王很不開心，國王愈想愈生氣，國王就下令逮捕他。
幾天後，國王經過自我反省與思考後，國王內心承認自己的確太過自大。
國王就下令釋放周顗。
他被釋放後他的朋友們對他說。
國王差點要下令殺了你，你之後千萬不要再隨便說話。
他笑著對他的朋友們說。
我犯的這個過錯並不是必死的罪，而且我認為我們的國王是有反省能力的，我們的國王在酒醒後會體認到我說的話都是事實。
我一開始就認為我一定會被釋放。
