Huang Er Sends Letters (黃耳寄書)
There was a famous official in the Western
Jin Dynasty of China. His name was Lu Ji. His story is recorded in history
books.
His hometown was in Jiangsu Province,
China, and the capital at that time was Luoyang City, now Henan Province. The
distance between the two places was about 900 kilometres.
He raised a dog, which was a hound. The
dog's ears were yellow, so he named the dog Yellow Er.
Huang Er means yellow ears in Chinese.
When he went from his hometown to the
capital for work, he took the dog with him, and the dog followed him to the
capital.
One day, when he came home from work, he
held his dog and talked to it.
He said to his dog.
It's been a while since I took a long
holiday and I miss my family.

surprise his father and mother felt when his dog returned to his home in his
hometown. His father wrote that he missed him and his father reminded him to be
careful.
He read his father's letter with tears in
his eyes.
He said to his dog as he hugged him again.

best dog in the world.

他看著他的父親寫的信他的眼中流出了淚水。
他再度抱著他的狗，他對他的狗說。
